Fathers Day Drowning - Victim's Body Found

Villagers from Kota Kinabalu have discovered the body of 48-year-old Jefintin James, who drowned when having a family picnic on Fathers Day Sunday. Tuaran fire station chief Rudy Mekii said the body was pulled out from the sea at about 6.50am yesterday, close to where the body of Jefintin’s 25-year-old son Ronny had been found. Jefintin and his son jumped into the sea after his daughters Ivy, who is 17 years old, and Debra and nephew Eron, who are both 16 years old got into trouble while swimming at Pantai Dalit, some 35km from here. The two men managed to get the teenagers to safety before they themselves were pulled in by the strong currents. Search parties consist of firemen, marine police and volunteers discovered Ronny’s body at about 2.15pm on Sunday near the beach area. The eight-member family from Kg Tambalungon in Tuaran went to the beach for a picnic to celebrate the special day.

When something tragic happens like this in your life, it will always be in your mind forever. The saying 'forget and move on' is very common among human beings nowadays, but you can always move on but you will never forget. In a case like this, the teenagers were very lucky that their father and son managed to get them to safety but unfortunately they themselves could not. This shows the love between  a family, they will do almost anything to keep their own family members safe regardless of keeping themselves safe. The teenagers will definitely always be grateful because their father and brother actually saved their lives. They will not look at Fathers Day as a happy day but they can always remember their father and also their brother for what they have done for them.
